Organic Dahlias - Community Supported Agriculture

Pictured here are individual dahlias and basket arrangements created during 2008 season. The flowers you see were grown in a garden plot in Fairfield, Iowa. Wildflowers, ferns and grasses were used to fill in the arrangements. These dahlias were grown organically — without pesticides, herbicides, fumigants or synthetic fertilizers.

We are planning to put about 300 dahlias in the ground for the 2010 season in our new location on B Street, east of the MUM campus. However, as of this writing (20 April) I'm still undecided about whether to offer the CSA program again. I'm primarily wanting to preserve my planting stock, and considering where to go from there.
